Job Overview
Rentokil, a global leader in pest control, is hiring Pest Control Technicians to provide industry‑leading services for residential customers. This full‑time role involves inspections, treatment application, customer education, and ongoing equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and maintain pest‑free environments.
- Provide customer advice to reduce future infestation risks and build lasting relationships.
- Schedule, confirm, and sometimes assist with sales to current customers while expanding product offerings to new clients.
- Maintain, stock, and ensure all pest control equipment is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle, with routine maintenance covered.
- Work in tight, confined spaces and around mechanical parts, animals, insects, chemicals, electrical current, and heights as needed.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and work with varied weather conditions.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Clean, shaven face for safety compliance with rebreathers.
- Completion of necessary licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Availability to work Monday–Friday and occasional weekends.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for product label mixing instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
