Journeyman Ironworker Opportunity

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Journeyman Ironworkers for multiple ongoing commercial construction projects in the Louisville, KY area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering steady work, competitive pay, and the chance to join a growing team. We're looking for dependable ironworkers who take pride in their craftsmanship, work safely, and can contribute to a fast-paced commercial jobsite.

• Install and erect structural steel, metal decking, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals.
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and layout plans.
• Bolt, weld, rig, and align structural steel components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with rigging and signaling during steel placement.
• Work at heights while following all OSHA safety standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• 4+ years of commercial iron working experience preferred.
• Experience erecting structural steel and installing miscellaneous metals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Must have OSHA 10 Certification (required).
• Must have reliable transportation and basic ironworker hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work at heights in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.

• Pay up to $35/hour, based on experience.
• 40+ hours per week with overtime opportunities.
