Experienced Carpenter – JMK Construction

JMK Construction is seeking an experienced, dependable Carpenter to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and light commercial remodeling throughout Northeast Ohio and are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finish carpentry, painting, and general remodeling work on residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare surfaces, apply paint and coatings, and complete interior and exterior painting with a high-quality finish.
• Read blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation.
• Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Install doors, trim, cabinetry, siding, flooring, drywall, and other finish materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, and team members.
• Complete projects efficiently while meeting manufacturer quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of carpentry, painting, or remodeling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, finish carpentry, and painting techniques.
• Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
