The RJ Case Manager Specialist Lead shall provide case management services with referred individuals and their families while also implementing appropriate restorative justice practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field; can be within four (4) months/one semester of obtaining degree; up to three (3) years of experience.
- Interest in working with justice‑involved and disenfranchised populations is highly desired.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated abilities in written reports and business correspondence.
- Effective oral communication skills, including public speaking or presentations to groups.
- Proficient with MS Office software.
- Mantains a caseload of cases consistent with projects, restorative justice, case management processes, and contact schedules in the catchment area.
- Compile, input, and track case management and restorative justice processes in the online case management system; may have up to 25 cases.
- Work with the Program Manager and director to develop processes for case managers to use.
- Facilitate restorative justice practices for assigned cases consistent with department and project requirements.
- Support and train staff in restorative justice processes and case management.
- Complete appropriate assessments for referred individuals and families.
- Develop and monitor case plans with assigned individuals and families consistent with department and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation for case management and restorative justice practices in the online case management system.
- Train other case managers on my Evolv and other case management systems and restorative justice practices.
- Complete all required reports and documentation consistent with program standards and funding requirements.
- Work with the program manager and director on developing case management/restorative justice processes.
- Represent VOA and VOA Justice in the community.
- Maintain relationships with community organizations and cultivate new partnerships.
- Seek and engage in personal and professional development opportunities.
- Facilitate project‑based staff meetings.
- Hold supervision meetings with supervised team members.
- Ensure cases are assigned to the appropriate case manager.
- Act as direct contact for referral sources.
- Ensure new staff have completed training requirements as outlined in the onboarding checklist.
- Ensure all staff comply with project metrics.
- Responsible for grant compliance and quarterly reporting.
- Work with Organizational Development to provide professional development tracks for project employees.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Assist and support all VOA Restorative Justice project sites by working with the Program Manager and Director on new and existing projects, including case management, staff support, training, and travel.
