Design and develop advanced Android applications, develop and maintain software for Android applications, ensure the software development process is followed with appropriate documentation, and work in a cross‑functional team to architect end‑to‑end smart appliance solutions. Develop detailed design and test specifications and collaborate with platform leaders, product line design teams, industrial designers, and web teams to deliver new feature‑rich applications. Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and develop Android applications that run on an embedded appliance system with interaction with appliance controls and functionality.

• Graduation with a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible post‑bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.
• Five years experience with Android application development.
• Five years experience with UI/UX requirements, APIs, mockups to build functional, high‑performance Android applications.
• Five years experience with a formal software development process, including agile.
• Five years experience with software development tools and languages, including Java.
• Five years experience with test‑driven development (TDD).
• Five years experience with code versioning tools, including Git.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

When not telecommuting, you will report into the Haier US Appliance Solutions office in Louisville, Kentucky.
