Job Summary:
The Senior Shopify Developer will lead the development and customization of Shopify stores This role involves designing and implementing new features optimizing performance and ensuring a seamless user experience The Senior Developer will also mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross functional teams
- Lead the development and customization of Shopify stores to enhance user experience and functionality
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Continuously learn and apply new skills to contribute to the team's success
- Lead the development and customisation of Shopify themes
- Integrate third‑party apps and services to extend store functionality
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, SEO and mobile responsiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
Stay updated with the latest Shopify trends and best practices
- Strong understanding of Shopify's platform, including themes apps and APIs
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of SEO principles and responsive design
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with database management and data migration processes
- Familiarity with e‑commerce best practices and consumer behaviour
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
- Proficiency in both backend and frontend Shopify development
- Extensive experience in theme customisation and Shopify app development
- Ability to develop custom integrations and middleware solutions
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
