Applications Developer II – Sierra Space
OverviewThe role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that support various business functions at Sierra Space.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code for business applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Use version control systems such as Git to manage the codebase.
- Document software designs, code, and processes for future reference and maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of related professional experience.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages and familiarity with development frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience designing and implementing software solutions independently.
- Experience debugging and testing software.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational database management systems.
- Experience with MS Access database development and VBA programming.
- Web application development experience.
- Power BI report development and data visualization.
- Experience with database ETL processes and data integration.
- Familiarity with engineering programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or VBA.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
- Familiarity with development frameworks such as Spring, Django, .NET, React, or Angular.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices.
Pay Range: $89,016.00 – $ (actual base compensation determined on a case‑by‑case basis).
