Pool Manager – Genesis Health Clubs (Blairwood & Taylorsville Rd | Louisville, KY)

Salary: $45,000 – $55,000+ annually

Full-Time | Bonus Eligible | Multi-Site Oversight

Genesis Health Clubs is hiring a full-time Pool Manager to oversee pool operations at two premier Louisville locations:
Blairwood Swim & Tennis Club (home to one of the city’s largest swim clubs) and the lap pool at our Taylorsville Road location just miles away. This role plays a key part in keeping our aquatics facilities safe, clean, and fully operational for thousands of members each season.

This is a hands‑on, leadership role with no swim lesson or programming responsibilities
—you’ll focus on managing lifeguards, maintaining chemical balance and systems, and ensuring both pools operate at the highest standard.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all pools at Blairwood and Taylorsville Rd
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of seasonal and year‑round lifeguards
• Create and maintain a consistent guard schedule that meets safety and budget goals
• Ensure full compliance with chemical balancing and pool maintenance procedures
• Operate and maintain pool vacuums, filters, and related systems
• Brush pool surfaces and maintain pool decks and surrounding areas
• Order and maintain chemical inventory and equipment supplies
• Maintain detailed chemical logs and safety records
• Respond quickly and professionally to emergency situations
• Track and control lifeguard payroll efficiency to meet bonus criteria
• Ensure all pool operations meet state and health department standards
• Work closely with Club Manager to support facility goals and seasonal readiness

• Lifeguard certification (current)
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification (required or willing to obtain quickly)
• Prior experience managing staff or lifeguard teams strongly preferred
• Familiarity with pool chemical testing, filtration systems, and daily maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude or facility systems experience is a strong bonus and will be compensated accordingly
• Ability to work flexible hours

• $45,000 base salary based on experience ($55,000+ earning potential
