Overview

Persimmon Ridge Golf Club is known as one of the most challenging golf courses in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The core membership is a group of passionate golf enthusiasts who thrive on friendly competition in our beautiful, natural setting. Our tee sheet is busy most days and we have active men's & ladies golf leagues in addition to club wide special events.

Designed by Arthur Hills and built in 1989, Persimmon Ridge was voted as the 6th best New Private Golf Courses in 1990. In its short history, the club has hosted state and national tournaments including the:
Kentucky State Amateur, AJGA Championship, U.S. Senior Challenge, Kentucky PGA Section Championship, multiple Kentucky Opens and much more. We have been the host site of the Men's Kentucky Open in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and the Kentucky Boys Junior Amateur Championship in 2025.

Persimmon Ridge ownership has acquired Polo Fields Golf and Country Club, just a few miles away and also manages Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville. All three clubs share a membership where members have privileges at all three courses and can compete in each other’s events. It also provides an advantage when one course is closed, one or two others are open.

It is the most unique setup in the State and we are very fortunate to have this robust and diverse club membership.

Persimmon Ridge also has an indoor Golf Academy on one end of our practice range. The facility features four indoor hitting bays as well as an outdoor covered and heated tee line. The main tee side of the practice range features a large natural grass tee with both warm and cool season grasses so the range is set up on natural grass year round!

Adjacent to the practice range is a large short game area and two practice holes.

Along with our Championship 18 hole course and extensive practice facility, Persimmon Ridge has opened the Just6 par 3 course. The Just6 course is a six hole walking only course with holes that range from 65 to 120 yards. It’s conveniently located near the back side of the clubhouse and has turned out to be a huge hit with all golfers young and old.

Honesty, straightforwardness, accountability, leadership, and dedication. This individual must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, take initiative, show calm under pressure, be a good communicator and motivator and be administratively competent.

The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years prior experience as an assistant professional, preferably at a private club. One must also be reliable, trustworthy, passionate about helping others, willing to go above and beyond for the club’s members and guests, have a desire to learn and grow professionally and be committed to the process of being successful.

• Promote the game of golf and the club and spread hospitality, happiness and good will
• Promote member accomplishments
• Promote and provide golf education for the membership
• Promote, organize and conduct golf programs including but not limited to Club Golf Tournaments & Leagues, PGA Jr. League and Golf Outings
• Enforce both Golf Shop and Club Policies and Procedures
• Train, Educate and Motivate the Golf Operation Employees
• Build and maintain relationships with members. This could include staying attuned to member preferences, anticipating their needs, and creating an inviting and inclusive environment for both new and existing members
• Oversee the golf car operation and practice facilities
• Help Develop and adhere to all fiscal budgets of the golf operation

• Supervise the starting and monitor play by all golf members and guests
• Enforce all club rules and regulations regarding the use of the golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities
• Supervise the use of golf cars and their maintenance
• Supervise the proper golfer check in and charging of greens fees and cart fees
