About the RoleWe’re looking for an organized, fast-thinking dispatch coordinator to keep our fleet of roll-off dumpsters and portable restrooms moving efficiently every day. You’ll be the hub between customers, drivers, and the yard — scheduling deliveries, pickups, and service calls while making real-time decisions that keep routes tight and customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate daily delivery, pickup, and swap-out of roll-off dumpsters across residential, commercial, and construction sites
- Dispatch port‑pot deliveries, regular service/cleaning routes, and emergency calls with attention to timing and site access requirements
- Build and optimize daily driver routes to maximize efficiency and minimize drive time
- Answer inbound customer calls for new orders, changes, complaints, and service inquiries; enter orders accurately into dispatch software
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day via phone or two‑way radio to relay updates, address issues, and adjust routes as needed
- Track equipment inventory and location; coordinate with the yard on unit availability and maintenance status
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and last‑minute changes calmly and efficiently; communicate proactively with customers about delays
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and daily dispatch logs
- Coordinate with the billing team to ensure completed orders are properly documented
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of dispatch, logistics, or customer service experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn dispatch/routing software quickly
- Excellent phone manner and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to work early morning starts
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Experience in waste, sanitation, or field services industry
- Familiarity with GPS fleet tracking software
- Knowledge of the Louisville metro area and surrounding counties
- Experience coordinating CDL drivers or heavy equipment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and holidays
