Tractor Trailer Driver - RTD-1

Drives tractor‑trailer vehicles to designated locations and operates mechanized loading and unloading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Six (6) months of Fed Ex Express experience preferred.

• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle preferred.
• Ability to operate mechanized loading/GSE equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Customer contact & package handling experience preferred.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

• FMCSA covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, including testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for the assigned vehicle type with a good driving record as outlined in policy.

• Class A commercial driver’s license with no manual restrictions.
• Experience driving tractor‑trailer vehicles in a full‑time, variable shift environment.

• Starting pay: $27.10 per hour.
• Full time – variable shifts, Sunday through Saturday operation.
