The Logistics&Delivery Specialistplaysacriticalroleinsupportingwarehouseoperationsandfieldproductivityat Excel Services .Thispositionisresponsibleforthesafeandaccuratehandling,organization,transportation,pickup,anddeliveryoftools,materials,andequipmentbetweenourwarehouse,vendors,andconstructionjobsites.

Therightcandidatewillunderstandthatanaccurateandon-timedeliverycandirectlyaffectaconstructioncrew'sproductivityandaproject'sschedule.

Thisisahands-onpositionrequiringdriving,loadingandunloadingmaterials,toolandinventoryhandling,communicationwithfieldpersonnel,andgeneralwarehousesupport.

• Safelytransporttools,materials,andequipmenttoandfromconstructionjobsites.
• Completescheduleddeliveriesandpickupsaccuratelyandontime.
• Coordinatejob-sitepickups,returns,andmaterialmovementsaccordingtocompanyprocedures.
• Communicateprofessionallywithwarehousestaff,Superintendents,Foremen,andfieldpersonnelregardingdeliveriesandpickups.
• Verifymaterialsandequipmentbeforeleavingthewarehouseandupondelivery.
• Supportfieldproductivitybyensuringcrewsreceivethecorrecttoolsandmaterialswhenneeded.
• Maintaincompanyvehiclesinaclean,safe,andprofessionalcondition.
• Immediatelyreportvehicle,delivery,material,orsafetyconcerns.

• Receivereturnedtools,materials,and equipment.
• Scantoolsandequipmentinandoutusingthecompany'sinventorymanagementsystem.
• Inspectreturnedtoolsandequipmentforvisibledamageoroperatingconcerns.
• Organizeandstoretoolsandmaterialsintheirdesignatedlocations.
• Stagetools,materials,andequipmentforupcomingjob-sitedeliveries.
• Helpmaintainanorganized,clean,andsafewarehouse.
• Assistwithinventorycountsandequipmentaccountabilityasneeded.

• Safelyloadandunloadtools,equipment,andconstructionmaterials.
• Properlysecureloadsbeforetransportation.
• Useappropriatematerial-handlingandload-securementpractices.
• Operateforkliftsandotherapprovedmaterial-handlingequipmentwhentrainedandauthorized.
• Followcompanysafetyprocedurestohelppreventinjuries,equipment damage,andmaterialloss.

• Maintainaccuratedeliveryandpickupdocumentation.
• Assistwithdeliverytrackingandinventoryaccountability.
• Supportvendorpickupsandcoordinationasassigned.
• Assistwithspecialwarehouseandlogisticsprojects.
• Performadditionaldutiesasneededtosupportwarehouse,field,andoperationalrequirements.

Theidealcandidatewillhave:

• Previous delivery,warehouse,logistics,construction,or material-handlingexperience.
• Familiaritywithconstructionmaterials,equipment,andsmalltoolsusedinelectrical,mechanical,HVAC,orplumbingconstructionpreferred.
• Strongorganizationalandtime-management skills.
• Abilitytomanagemultipledeliveriesandprioritiesthroughouttheworkday.
• Abilitytosafelyload,unload,move,andsecuretoolsandconstructionmaterials.
• Strongattentiontodetailandequipmentaccountability.
• Professionalcommunicationandcustomer-service skills.
• Adependable,team-oriented attitude.
• Abilitytoworkindependentlyandsolveproblemsinthefield.
• Forkliftexperiencepreferredorabilitytobecomecertifiedafterhire.
