We are rapidly growing and are looking to add a Lead Driver with a Class A license to our team. As a Lead Driver, you will pick upand deliver units, cover a route when necessary to clean and maintain porta-potties, hand-wash, hand sanitizer, etc. stations, coordinate the satellite location team, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties / Responsibilities- Reviews /supports the schedules and activities of staff, ensuring safety & customer needs are met, filling in on portable toilet routes and handling all dumpster/trailer orders.
- Completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day, adapting route as business conditions change.
- Loads delivery vehicle with units/equipment scheduled for delivery.
- Picking up units along the scheduled route, delivering replacements, dump runs, etc., may include items to be returned, company orders, and other equipment as requested for efficiency
- Delivers correct addresses, obtains signatures, payment, and proof of receipt when necessary.
- Flushes, empties, and cleans units; performs other services required to maintain or repair units, tanks, and systems.
- Cleans and disinfects areas affected by sewage.
- Meet all safety standards by abiding by all transportation laws, company policies, and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Ensure safety standards are achieved in partnership with the GM through assisting with reviews, coaching, and enforcement.
- Educates new team members on safety standards, performance expectations, as well as safe machinery operation.
- Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
- Ensures that all vehicles receive basic service according to the maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to the supervisor. Follow disinfecting and safety guidelines.
- Assists in general yard & maintenance duties when route is completed. Requests and/or orders necessary supplies and equipment.
- Plans and recommends a timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Test drives the vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.
- Works with other job sites to inspect vehicles and keep the entire fleet in good condition.
- Updates maps and routes assigned, providing feedback to the routing team.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
- Weekend, evening hours, & on-call hours required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of equipment, units, trucks, and repair.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate all tools and equipment.
- Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
- Ability to follow and communicate directions and procedures with limited supervision.
- Ability to communicate with dispatch, team members, customers, and leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
- Two years of related experience preferred.
- Proficient in office & financial software, route logistics or similar software with the ability to learn and implement new online & logistic tools.
- Commercial driver's license may be required.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
