Our client is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Distribution Supervisor to lead warehouse operations within a stable, well-established distribution center in Louisville, KY.
This individual will serve as the senior leader on second shift, overseeing daily operations, employee performance, safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring customer expectations are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who enjoys developing teams, driving operational excellence, and working in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
Schedule(Monday – Friday) 2:30 PM – Approximately 1:00 AM
- Additional hours and occasional weekend support may be required based on business needs.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 38 warehouse associates on 2nd shift
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and customer service performance metrics
- Manage employee scheduling, attendance, timecards, and time‑off requests
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, training, and employee development activities
- Hold employees accountable while fostering a positive and engaged work environment
- Utilize operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot operational issues and remove barriers impacting performance
- Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve departmental goals and operational objectives
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required
- 3+ years of experience in a distribution, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain environment
- Proven ability to lead and motivate hourly warehouse employees
- Experience managing performance, coaching, employee development, and accountability
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Experience utilizing warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools
- Lean, continuous improvement, or process improvement experience is highly valued
- Bachelor's degree preferred
