About the Role:The Yard Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and efficiency of the yard operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly parked, stored, and maintained, contributing to a safe and orderly environment. The Yard Attendant will also assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring that all items are handled with care and precision.
By monitoring yard activities and reporting any issues, the Yard Attendant helps to enhance operational productivity and safety. Ultimately, this role supports the overall functionality of the yard, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in yard operations.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain the organization of the yard, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are parked correctly.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the yard to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding yard operations and any issues that arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the yard area, including the disposal of waste and debris.
