The RN performs therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the physician. The RN participates in patient education and rehabilitation and provides interpretation of treatment to the patient and patient's family. The RN coordinates unit activity and assures accountability of assigned tasks. The RN will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
The RN participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.
- Accountable for creating an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organizations mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintains the highest quality of comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrated good clinical judgement through ability to make independent decisions as evidenced by the supervisor.
- Consistently documents in the patient's record all patient pertinent clinical information daily which includes all unusual incidents.

- Must have a high school diploma or ged equivalent
- Must have an academic diploma in nursing and be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi
- Must be eligible to qualify for CPI and CPR certification
- Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
