Demonstrated experience and high proficiency working with Auto Cad 2D (Auto Cad Inventor 3D preferred) to create mechanical designs that meet various standards (ANSI, IEEE), codes (NEC, Local, etc) and customer requirements.
Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing 3d software creating and revising mechanical assemblies including assembly and part drawings - Autodesk Inventor preferred.
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities including sheet metal and bus work.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical and electrical integration of components.
Understanding and utilizing switch gear knowledge in electrical safety, compartmentalization, and clearance standards - MV Switchgear preferred.
Associates degree (minimum) from a technical program (electrical/mechanical) using CAD software,
4 years working experience as a Drafter/Designer. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Knowledge of Machine G & M code a plus or will be trained.
Assist other engineering personnel when required to meet delivery objectives.
