Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Midlake Products & Manufacturing Co. is seeking a dependable, hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. We offer a safe, clean, and well-lit work environment where you'll play an important role in keeping our manufacturing equipment and facility running safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on, varied position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting problems, repairing equipment, and working with tools. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, resourceful, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and technical machine issues.
- Maintain state of the art production and powder coating equipment as well as legacy machines
- Replace and maintain motors, bearings, belts, pumps, filters, and other machine components.
- Perform basic hydraulic repairs and maintenance.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and outlet installation.
- Handle general facility repairs including plumbing, pumps, exhaust fans, lighting, roof/gutter issues, A/C drains, and garage seals.
- Build and modify carts, skids, shipping containers, and other shop projects.
- Operate a tow motor to move crates of material around the plant (off/on trailers) or move machinery around in the plant
- Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment.
Required:
- Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or facility maintenance
. - Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Experience with motors, bearings, pumps, belts, and mechanical equipment.
- Basic electrical and wiring knowledge.
- Ability to perform basic plumbing and facility repairs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
We need someone who can figure things out, diagnose problems, and make repairs. You don't need experience with every piece of equipment we have, but you should have strong mechanical skills and the ability to learn new machinery.
