Details of services:
The successful applicant will join a team whose main aim is to ensure that the highest standards of Emergency Medicine are delivered by the department. You will be part of the team responsible for resuscitating critically ill medical, surgical and trauma patients both young and old as well as working in the Majors, Ambulatory and Minor Injuries areas.
You should be prepared to see any patient with any condition. Part of this role is to recognise and manage rapidly those who may be unwell or require timely resuscitation. You will be expected to determine which patients can be safely discharged, with or without further follow up, and to recognise those who need further investigation and admission under the care of a speciality team.
There will be an expectation that you will require senior input with certain patients, and you will be able to obtain that help rapidly and effectively.
Benefits:
• Initial contract of 12 months ( for consultant positions it could be up to 2 years with a relocation package).
• Approximate net monthly salary of 9-11k net/month for consultants and 5,000 € for registrar positions (new scale salary 1st October 24) after tax and pension deductions .
• Possibility to get paid through the agency on hourly rates of 130€/hour (+VAT). The agency will help the doctor to get setup as a Company or under an umbrella company of you wish to use this type of arrangement and shorter contracts can be offered in this case up to a minimum of 1-2 months.
• 30 working days per Year holidays + public holidays (there is 10 in a year).
• Up to €12,000 for educational funding for Consultants (master degrees, etc)
• Up to €8,000 per annum will be made available for support for innovation projects.
• Lucrative pension scheme included.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Should be a Specialist in Emergency Medicine inside the European Union if you apply for consultant positions.
2. For registrar ( PLEOPLE WHO DON’T HAVE THE MEDICAL SPECIALISATION) positions you need at least 5 years of experience in hospitals . If you come outside of the EU you can apply but you need your medical degree recognized in the EU and have at least 3 years of experience in the country where you have recognized your medical degree ( except SA,USA,CANADIAN,NEW ZEALAND doctors who can apply without this condition)
3. Have a very good command of written and spoken English. Ielts or Oet certificate for registrar positions
3. Available to relocate to Ireland this year.
4. Valid CLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certification
