Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction (Colorado)
DS Constructors is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our growing team in Colorado. This is a key preconstruction leadership role responsible for delivering accurate, strategic estimates and helping guide successful project outcomes from concept through award.
You will lead estimating efforts across Design-Build and hard bid commercial projects, working closely with leadership, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and cost models through all design phases
- Manage Design-Build and hard bid estimating processes
- Oversee subcontractor solicitation, scope review, and bid leveling
- Support preconstruction strategy, proposals, and client presentations
- Perform constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk analysis
- Develop and maintain project schedules tied to estimating efforts
- Mentor and support junior estimating/preconstruction staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners
- Ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements
- Competitive compensation $110K-$130K/Year

- 8-10+ years commercial GC estimating experience
- Experience with public and private sector work
- Strong knowledge of construction documents and all CSI divisions
- Experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Excel
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
