Concrete Laborer
The Construction Laborer performs a wide range of general labor and concrete finishing duties on airfield and civil construction projects. This role focuses on placing, spreading, leveling, and finishing concrete while supporting forming, grading, excavation, and infrastructure installation activities. The position requires safe operation of tools and small equipment, adherence to project specifications and safety regulations, and consistent support of crews to ensure high-quality work and timely project completion.
Responsibilities- Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for airfield and civil construction projects.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks, including screeding, floating, edging, troweling, texturing, and joint finishing.
- Assist with forming, grading, excavation, and site preparation activities.
- Install and remove concrete forms and support structures.
- Assist crews with airfield lighting, underground conduit, foundations, and other infrastructure installations.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist equipment operators and skilled trades personnel as needed.
- Maintain project quality standards and comply with project specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and airport security regulations.
- Perform general labor duties to support project completion and schedule requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Minimum 1 year of concrete finishing experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with general labor and construction activities.
- Proficiency in concrete finishing, including screeding, floating, edging, troweling, texturing, and joint finishing.
- Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, curing methods, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read and follow construction plans, grade stakes, and written or verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and small equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance when required.
- Experience working safely in outdoor construction environments with heavy equipment and changing conditions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial, heavy civil, roadway, or airfield construction projects is preferred.
- Airfield construction experience is highly beneficial.
- Concrete paving or slip-form paving experience is an asset.
- Utility or electrical construction experience is a plus.
- CDL is preferred but not required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Equipment operation experience is an advantage.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in outdoor construction environments on both active and inactive airport facilities. You work around noise, dust, heavy equipment, and changing weather conditions, and may be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel depending on project schedules and airport operational needs. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation, and to perform duties on uneven terrain and active construction sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loveland, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
