New Vision Charter School is seeking a Registrar/Communications Manager who shares our commitment to providing a safe, clean environment to help our students achieve excellence in and out of the classroom. We seek to provide students with an academically rigorous, content-rich Core Knowledge curriculum in an environment where character is modeled and promoted.
Job Description:
The School Registrar is responsible for providing support services to the school's faculty and staff to meet New Vision Charter School's mission. In this role, the Registrar is primarily responsible for managing all systems related to student enrollment, records, and registration.
Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing and managing registration of new and returning students.
- Managing records of current students.
- Managing student records software in Infinite Campus
- Work with school counselors to create school schedules in Infinite Campus and roster students into sections.
- Coordinating the student enrollment and withdrawal process.
- Running high school registration and being the lead contact for Thompson School District during this process for 8th graders (in coordination with the 5-8 school counselor).
- Communicate with new families and prospective families, giving tours etc.
- Run the lottery for new students
- Enroll and roster students in Infinite Campus
- Maintain website with current enrollment information
- Assists with communication about events
- Interacts effectively with staff and the public.
- Willingness to take direction; follow instructions, both written and oral
- Ability to follow through on an assignment and handle more than one task
- Plan and organize work for optimal efficiency

- Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Learn, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

- HS diploma or GED required.

- Must be sensitive, respectful, and understanding of the needs of the student and parent population.
- Must be able to establish and maintain a trusting and productive working relationship with students and staff
- Must complete the required CBI/FBI criminal background check.
- Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, office staff, students, parents and community.
- Excellent human relations and customer service skills.
- Willingness to take responsibility for decisions made and actions taken
- Desire to seek advice as necessary when making decisions
- Commitment to the school's mission and vision
- Model and instruct positive character traits
- Work in standard office and school building environments.
- Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
Compensation will be based on experience, ranging from $21+ per hour, for 205 contract days over a full school year. Full-time position; 40 hours per week.
