For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. The BGCLC centers are a place for kids to laugh, learn, grow and belong. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The BGCLC does this by providing spaces around Larimer County for youth to go to before and after school, here children can participate in numerous activities that encourage them to plan for the future, demonstrate good character, and lead healthy lifestyles.

BGCLC is looking for a passionate, fun-loving, energetic individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive before and after-school experience for youth in Loveland, CO.

As a Club Director you will:

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours.
  • Provide guidance and act as a positive role model/mentor to all members.
  • Establish program objectives consistent with the 5 key elements for positive youth development:
  • Help maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work environment.
  • Maintain close professional relationships with all BGCLC stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all BGCLC policies and procedures.

Programming & Club Experience

  • Supervise overall Club operations, ensuring the physical/emotional health and safety of all members, volunteers, parents, and staff through BGCLC approved practices.
  • Lead and instruct staff members to host special Club events, family nights, educational events, etc.
  • Strategically plan and evaluate programs to ensure program quality
  • Serve as a primary contact person for all Club parents/guardians.
  • Assist with food service in the Club, following all Food Bank/Health Dept. safe food handling protocols.
  • Plan, execute, and maintain compliance during full-day programming. Including Summer Site consolidations.

Administrative Duties

  • Oversee the Club's administrative functions, i.e. membership enrollment for assigned schools, data collection, program attendance, etc.
  • Complete regular audits of member tracking systems. Assist with annual reports.

Community Outreach

  • Represent BGCLC at community/fundraising events when needed
  • Participate in youth committees and/or coalitions.
  • Develop and maintain public relations and outreach to increase the visibility of programs, services, and activities within your designated school.

Leadership & Staff Development

  • Oversee multiple staff members within the Club site.
  • Manage and provide career development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure that reviews and coaching occur on a consistent and timely basis with all program staff.
  • Lead strategic change in efforts to make improvements on the Club experience for Club Members.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support Summer/School Day out programs at another Club location.
  • May implement and oversee other unit activities or special programs/events, as necessary.
  • May be required to drive Club vehicle. Must have valid, active and current license.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
This is a full-time, exempt position with a annual pay range of $57,784 -$63,562.40.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

The program director must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and must have

completed at least one (1) of the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with a major area of study in one (1) of the following areas:
    • (1) Child Development
    • (2) Psychology
    • (3) Early Childhood Education
    • (4) Early Childhood Special Education
    • (5) Elementary Education
    • (6) Elementary Special Education
    • (7) Family and Human Development
    • (8) Family Studies
    • (9) Special Education
    • (10) Outdoor Education
    • (11) Recreation
    • (12) Human Services
  • An associate’s degree or sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited college or university and three (3) months (455 hours) of experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the ages of four (4) years who are not related to the individual; or
