At Hach, a Veralto company, the Verification Engineer II works within the Product Development Engineering team to design, develop, and sustain water quality instruments.
Responsibilities- Develop design verification strategies.
- Determine appropriate testing methods, environments, and tools.
- Define the schedule and resources required to execute verification activities.
- Track and report progress toward completion of verifications for the project.
- Draft and review verification protocols and reports.
- Advise on verification risks and consult on mitigations.
- Assist with experimental design and execution to characterize the performance of components, sub‑systems and systems.
Essential requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a physical science.
- 3‑5 years of experience in hardware design, verification engineering, reliability engineering, quality engineering, or test engineering with a product development background.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical graphics, and inferential techniques.
- Experience creating verification plans, protocols, and reports.
- Experience with defect tracking and configuration management tools.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Availability to travel up to 10%, locally or internationally.
Preferred experience
- Experience with electro‑mechanical devices utilizing firmware, optics, and chemistry.
- Experience with Minitab, R Studio, or Discover Sim.
- Experience with DOEs, GR&Rs, and CpK analysis.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, firmware, or software testing systems and tools.
- Experience with risk analysis tools, FMEAs, and Design for Six Sigma Score Card.
- Experience in the medical device or aerospace industry.
