R&D Verification Engineer II

At Hach, a Veralto company, the Verification Engineer II works within the Product Development Engineering team to design, develop, and sustain water quality instruments.

• Develop design verification strategies.
• Determine appropriate testing methods, environments, and tools.
• Define the schedule and resources required to execute verification activities.
• Track and report progress toward completion of verifications for the project.
• Draft and review verification protocols and reports.
• Advise on verification risks and consult on mitigations.
• Assist with experimental design and execution to characterize the performance of components, sub‑systems and systems.

Essential requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a physical science.
• 3‑5 years of experience in hardware design, verification engineering, reliability engineering, quality engineering, or test engineering with a product development background.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical graphics, and inferential techniques.
• Experience creating verification plans, protocols, and reports.
• Experience with defect tracking and configuration management tools.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Availability to travel up to 10%, locally or internationally.

Preferred experience

• Experience with electro‑mechanical devices utilizing firmware, optics, and chemistry.
• Experience with Minitab, R Studio, or Discover Sim.
• Experience with DOEs, GR&Rs, and CpK analysis.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, firmware, or software testing systems and tools.
• Experience with risk analysis tools, FMEAs, and Design for Six Sigma Score Card.
• Experience in the medical device or aerospace industry.
