We are seeking a Procurement Engineering / Supplier Transition Engineer to support supplier transition activities and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement engineering, supplier qualification, manufacturing transfers, and validation processes including IQ/OQ/PQ. This role will work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure successful supplier transitions while maintaining product quality, compliance, and production continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier transition and sourcing projects from planning through execution and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development activities with procurement and supplier engagement.
  • Coordinate supplier qualification and validation activities including IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), and PQ (Performance Qualification).
  • Develop and execute supplier transition plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Manage First Article (FA) inspections, supplier capability assessments, and process validations.
  • Drive cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity improvements during supplier transitions.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements with suppliers.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
  • Procurement Engineering or Supplier Development experience.
  • Strong background in Supplier Transition and Supplier Qualification projects.
  • Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) and New Product Development.
  • Hands‑on experience with IQ, OQ, and PQ validation processes.
  • Experience with First Article (FA) planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong project planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, aerospace, electronics, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • PMP, CQE, or Supplier Quality certifications are a plus.
