We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering projects, mentor junior staff, and support continued growth across multiple markets.
Position SummaryThe Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, review, and management of structural engineering projects from concept through construction. This role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership capabilities, creative thinking, and the ability to proactively support projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license highly preferred or tracking towards a PE within the next year.
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience designing steel, connections, welds, concrete and foundation systems.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Strong understanding of: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, TIA is a Plus.
- Experience preparing construction drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Detail Oriented.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
- Experience with steel buildings, telecommunications, utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, RAM, STAAD, ETABS, or similar software.
- Experience managing client relationships and project teams.
- Experience mentoring/coaching inexperienced engineers.
- Lead structural engineering design and analysis for commercial, industrial, utility, and telecommunications projects.
- Develop structural calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Review and approve engineering work prepared by junior engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct site investigations and structural assessments.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality procedures.
