As a Compliance Engineer, you'll partner with senior compliance and product development engineers to help ensure our instruments meet global safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED, and product compliance requirements while building expertise in product compliance.
This position is part of the Product Development Engineering team located in Loveland, CO, and will be fully onsite.

Reporting to the Product Assurance Engineering Manager, the Compliance Engineer will support product compliance activities for water quality instruments in collaboration with experienced compliance engineers and cross-functional product teams. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering or technical background who is motivated to grow in compliance, enjoys hands-on testing, and is comfortable working in a documentation-driven environment.
- Support safety, EMC/EMI, wireless, battery, laser/LED, and international product compliance activities for new and existing products
- Execute and analyze hands-on pre-compliance and certification testing, including documenting results and communicating findings
- Create, maintain, and organize technical files, declarations, test protocols, reports, and other compliance documentation
- Collaborate with product development teams to review product designs, understand technical changes, and assess potential compliance, safety, or product compliance risks
- Work with external laboratories and certification agencies
- Participate in risk assessments and help identify practical mitigation strategies with guidance from senior compliance engineers

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or physical science; electrical or mechanical engineering background preferred
- Typically 3–5 years of experience in engineering, compliance, product testing, quality, or another regulated technical environment
- Experience with hands-on testing, test protocols, technical documentation, or working in a tightly documented environment
- Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to talk through product design considerations, assess risk, and understand how design decisions may affect safety, compliance, or product compliance requirements
