Position: Supplier Quality Engineer - Power Electronics (Flight Hardware)

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and manage the quality of our supplier network for flight hardware for high-voltage power processing units (PPUs) supporting electric propulsion systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands the discipline, rigor, and quality expectations of low-volume, high-reliability aerospace systems, but can apply that rigor pragmatically within a fast-moving startup.

You will work proactively with Supply Chain to reduce risk and ensure the best fit suppliers are chosen. You will also work closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure designs meet expectations and can be effectively communicated to suppliers.

This is a hands-on, high-judgment role suited for an engineer who has experienced both R&D experimentation and flight discipline and knows when to apply each.

  • 5–10 years of experience supporting aerospace electronics hardware builds
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics assemblies and high-voltage hardware
  • Comfort operating in environments with incomplete information
  • Experience implementing ISO 9001
  • Experience in quality systems, inspection methods and root cause analysis
  • Experience creating quality procedures and documentation
Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience transition from prototype to low/mid volume production
  • Familiarity with conformal coating, potting, or HV insulation schemes
  • Prior work in startups or small, fast-moving teams
  • Ability to balance aerospace rigor with speed, cost, and scalability
  • Comfortable pushing back on management, engineers, and technicians
  • Influencing teams without conflict
  • Hands-on, builder mindset who is willing to both define and execute
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to get to the root cause and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
