Finance Principal Analyst

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Finance Manager — Commercial Strategy, the Finance Analyst generates and analyzes financial information for the company.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze, report, and present production variances such as price variance, material variance, scrap discrepancies, labor/burden spend, and volume variances.
• Partner with Operations, customer teams, and HR to develop PowerBI reports for business understanding, monthly reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc requests.
• Provide analysis and explanation of financial results.
• Monitor and report financial performance, explaining variances to budgets, forecasts, and prior year data.
• Prepare and present consolidated reports to management as appropriate.
• Assist in automating reports, analysis, and other synergies in PowerBI and Excel.
• Track sales performance, providing detailed analysis of variances.
• Prepare and analyze quarterly revenue recognition calculations.
• Gather data in IFS, SAP, or JDE as required.
• Support the development of FY standard costs.
• Assist PLM and commercial teams with pricing new products, NBO opportunities, or pricing changes due to tariff or cost changes.
• Assist the Director of Finance and management on projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 8+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers or others in the organization.
• Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Skill in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables with limited standardization.

• Advanced PowerBI report writing.
• Strong analytical skills including Excel proficiency and data interpretation.
• Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and lead others through continuous improvement activities.

$107,000 to $145,000 annually. The base pay range is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including internal equity, business considerations, local market conditions, and candidate qualifications.
