Position: Integrated Clinical Mental Health Therapist (Licensed) - The Landing Youth Shelter

The Matthews House seeks an innovative and skilled licensed mental health professional to join our team at The Landing, Northern Colorado’s first trauma-informed youth and young adult shelter. The Landing serves individuals ages 15–20 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This position provides direct therapeutic services to youth participants and also offers clinical supervision and consultation to management and staff, ensuring a trauma-informed and cohesive approach across the program.

Full-Time, Exempt Salary Rate: $72,000-$80,000 (depending on qualifications)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Services
  • Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Offer crisis intervention, de-escalation, and on-call support as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and state standards.
  • Support youth in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience-building strategies.
Collaboration, Supervision, and Leadership
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to program management and staff to support trauma-informed, relationship-centered practice. Provide clinical supervision to all behavioral health services being billed toward Medicaid.
  • Supervise case managers and oversee documentation of services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and team meetings.
  • Offer guidance to leadership on programmatic strategies for behavioral health integration and youth engagement.
Program Development and Quality
  • Assist in designing and facilitating wellness programming and psycho educational groups.
  • Contribute to data collection, evaluation, and outcome reporting.
  • Maintain current knowledge of adolescent behavioral health, trauma, and best practices in youth homelessness services.
  • Support continuous improvement in service delivery through reflective supervision and team learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of post-licensure experience working with adolescents or young adults, preferably in shelter, residential, or community-based settings.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, consultation, or reflective supervision to staff or management teams.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, adolescent development, and crisis response.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience working with youth experiencing homelessness or system involvement.
  • Experience billing services to Medicaid.
SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is primarily based onsite at The Landing in Loveland, Colorado. Some evening or weekend hours may be required. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, centered around relationships, safety, and empowerment.
