HVAC Service Technician

The HVAC Service Technician provides exceptional customer service and educates customers regarding technical and investment decisions by providing multiple options and solutions while making service calls in customers' homes.

• Serve One Hour clients by expertly servicing and repairing HVAC systems and components.
• Focus on technical excellence to live up to the company’s unique proposition of Always on Time…Or You Don’t Pay a Dime! ®.
• Utilize the Straight Forward Pricing Guide® system, including the True Cost Calculator on each call.
• Assess systems to determine repair or replacement recommendations. Explain each service and repair performed to the customer and ensure 100% satisfaction.
• Test each system after service or repair before leaving the customer’s home to confirm proper operation.
• Perform a proper inspection of the customer’s system to prevent future breakdowns.
• Accurately complete all paperwork and ensure recommendations are written on invoices.
• Explain Club Membership Agreements to every customer and maintain a conversion rate of at least 25% on non‑Club Members and a 90% renewal rate on existing Club Members.
• Provide customer leads to the Sales Lead Coordinator when identifying a potential need for system additions or replacements.
• Obey the One Hour Code of Ethics, Team Rules, and Team Philosophy.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of verifiable HVAC service experience required.
• EPA Type 1 and 2 certification required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and technical competence.
• Must sign the Company Code of Ethics and agree to being videotaped for training and compliance at least six (6) times per year.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass background check and drug screen.

• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, wet/humid environments, and/or with vibration.
• Work with mechanical and chemical hazards, including fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and/or poor ventilation.
• Can climb, talk, crouch, stand, balance, reach, grasp, pull, lift, see, hear, and operate tools and vehicles.
