Material Coordinator

Our client is a leader in power distribution equipment and services supporting critical electrical infrastructure. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support manufacturing operations by overseeing material flow, guiding material handlers, and ensuring inventory accuracy. This role serves as a subject matter expert within the materials function and plays a critical role in meeting production schedules, supporting internal stakeholders, and continuously making improvement across materials operations.

• Act as the subject matter expert for assigned materials areas, supporting and guiding material handlers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, shipping, receiving, and internal departments to prioritize material needs
• Ensure timely and accurate material processing in support of production requirements
• Define, improve, and uphold process standards while driving accountability within the materials team
• Execute all types of material transactions using Epicor (ERP) and Elliott (ERP) systems
• Read, comprehend, and execute processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Interpret and act on production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Operate various material handling equipment within the plant
• Read and understand job travelers, pick lists, and system-generated workflow assignments
• Clean, restock, and organize warehouse and materials areas
• Participate in shipping and receiving process improvement initiatives
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment or demonstrated knowledge of material handling best practices
• Experience using ERP systems (Epicor and/or Elliott preferred)
• Ability to read instructions, safely operate equipment, and visually inspect raw materials
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing demands
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and coordination skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives written in English

• Ability to perform simple math to interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, and material usage
• Ability to perform frequently lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
• International shipping experience preferred
