Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Fabrication Team Lead at Hach (Veralto) in Loveland, CO. Reporting to the Area Manager, the role is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi‑automatic machines, monitoring production parameters, ensuring compliance with specifications, and leading a team of associates.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate automatic or semi‑automatic machines and related equipment in continuous production/processing operation.
- Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Follow engineering drawings, work order information, manufacturing assembly procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.
- Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair and dismantle machinery and equipment according to established documentation.
- Perform set‑up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
- Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and other equipment.
- Train associates on proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Maintain cross‑training matrix and onboard new associates.
- Assist Area Manager and planners in prioritizing workload and equipment schedule to meet customer demand.
- Assist manager and planning team in directing daily work and provide associate performance feedback.
- Recommend overtime schedule and maintain attendance schedule.
- Act as first responder to department issues, including tracking parts, resolving kanban issues, troubleshooting equipment, identifying failure points, developing and implementing countermeasures, and escalating when necessary.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and visual management tools.
- Proactively maintain the cell, including fixtures, kits, tools, and supplies.
- Maintain standard work, including deviations, standard work changes, and updates to work instructions.
- Perform as certified back‑up operator in critical cells.
- 0–3 years experience in machining.
- Team Lead experience.
- 5–7 years experience in machining.
- Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
Compensation Range: $26.45 – $30.42 USD per hour (eligible for bonus pay).
