Description
General
Purpose:
The Cabinet Assembler assembles the various components of a cabinet into the final product. Cabinets must be assembled to specifications and Tharp quality standards.
- Assemble cabinet components to specification and quality standards
- Install doors and drawers on finished cabinets using specified hardware
- Inspect finished product for visual defects and function
- Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output.
- Engage with Team and Technical Advisors to insure Safe and correct methods are used to facilitate requested output.
- Maintain a safe and quality based effort for any products that are processed.
- Develop skills and proficiency at assigned tasks.
- Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards.
- Process work in a timely, quality focused manner.
- Display a basic understanding of the information contained in the Tharp cut sheets and prints
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interpret cut sheets, work orders and prints
- Appreciation for quality
- Display a baseline of understanding of the Tharp Quality requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Other duties as required.
Staple guns, nail guns, table saws, miter saw, cross cut saw, dovetail machine, drills, and sanders, wrapper.
Physical Activities and Safety:75% standing, 25% walking - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including, wearing safety glasses where required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:- Ability to understand verbal and written direction to accomplish specific efforts and tasks
- Introduced to all production cells, proficient in 2 production Cells for a minimum of 6 months.
Experience:
Experience with table saws, drills, staple and nail guns and a minimum of 3 months working in the Tharp apprentice program or 1 year working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Production shop experience required.
Education or Formal Training:High School diploma or GED desired but not required
Licenses needed:Forklift Certification-Helpful but not required
