This position is eligible for a $2000 Sign on Bonus

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing informed consent, evaluating medical histories, conducting physical examinations, performing blood testing, reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE), and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.

Additional responsibilities:

• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Refer cases to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of responsibility:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

• Hourly wage range: $36.96 – $50.82
