Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Job Description

This position is eligible for a $2000 Sign on Bonus. The role is for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda, supporting plasma center operations.

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE)
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues and donor safety
• Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting

Location:

USA – CO – Loveland.

Hourly wage range: $38.72 – $53.24. The actual wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, and skills.
