Salary Range: $19.50 – $26.75 per hour (includes generous night differential pay)
Job SummaryProvides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, and providing psycho‑social support. Completes tasks related to food preparation, housekeeping, and participation in wellness and recreational programs.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within state regulations.
- Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psycho‑social support.
- Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Prepare meals, feed residents, and provide water and supplements.
- Collect non‑invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Maintain housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean.
- Participate in wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation.
- Attend departmental committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or GED (preferred).
- Minimum age 18.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care (preferred).
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medication Assistant (CMA/TMA) certification per state requirements.
- Completion of state‑approved medication aide/assistant courses.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required (if applicable).
- Annual continuing education of at least 12 hours and competency testing.
