Salary Range: $18.00 - $26.75
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Demonstrate expert level experience as a certified nursing assistant and assist other staff as needed.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and PPE usage; participate as part of the nursing team and be accountable for following these policies.
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, transferring, repositioning, and mobility) and provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Support nutrition and dining: assist with meals and snacks and provide hydration as appropriate; contribute to a positive dining experience.
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and changes in condition; communicate care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and monitor vital signs; provide housekeeping and laundry support to maintain clean living areas.
- Support wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation; participate in department or organizational committees as needed.
- May participate in the Restorative Nursing program (including documentation, scheduling and leading restorative activities).
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age 16; two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Annual competency testing and continuing education: minimum 12 hours per year; maintain department-specific certifications.
- May be required to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
- State-specific requirements: certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry where applicable.
- Category II Driver designation may apply depending on facility responsibilities; driving license and medical qualification required for essential driving tasks as per policy.
