Nurse Practitioner Trauma And Acute Care Surgery
UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado is seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join its high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a full-time Nocturnist, delivering advanced overnight surgical care in one of the Rocky Mountain region's most respected Level II trauma centers.
The Nurse Practitioner will:
- Deliver comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services for overnight coverage (7P–7A).
- Perform assessments, order/interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
- Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across inpatient settings.
- Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management.
- Work autonomously while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Document all care using Epic EMR.
- Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws and privileging processes.
- Maintain high-quality patient safety and performance standards.
- Participate in UCHealth OAP mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing education.
Not doing any locums or locum to perm. UCHealth clears names system-wide. Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B visas accepted). Not accepting fresh graduates (must have two (2) years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred).

- ANCC
- BLS
- Board Certified
State License Requirements:
- Colorado
Additional License Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANPCB, Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or American Red Cross, Unrestricted Physician Assistant license – State of Colorado
