QA Electrical Inspector – Electrical Distribution Equipment Are you passionate about quality and electrical safety? Join our team as a QA Electrical Inspector, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring that low voltage panel boards, switchboards, and medium-voltage switch gear are delivered with flawless performance, meeting industry standards and exceeding customer expectations. This on-site position offers hands-on involvement in inspection, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carefully review electrical drawings and design specifications to fully understand customer expectations for each project.
• Inspect components of electronic assemblies such as CTs, PTs, and CPTs.
• Carry out inspections of control wiring, verifying point-to-point accuracy, wire label correctness, and overall workmanship.
• Perform functional electrical tests—including insulation (Hi-Pot and Megger) and other voltage tests—to ensure switch gear meets customer requirements.
• Maintain, manage, and recommend improvements for production electrical test equipment to ensure optimal performance and calibration.
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations teams to troubleshoot defects, resolve issues, and participate in root cause problem solving.
• Implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence of defects and continuously drive quality improvements.
• Uphold and promote electrical safety standards at all times.
• Document test results, ensuring all quality control records are clear, accurate, and professional.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of experience in electrical inspection or testing, preferably with electrical distribution equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements for high-voltage testing, including NFPA 70E for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, including wiring schematics and point-to-point diagrams.
• Familiarity with standard wiring practices and industry standards for wiring workmanship.
• Understanding of electrical distribution product standards such as UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37.20.2, and IEEE 37.20.3 (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred).

Work Environment:
Operate within a dynamic manufacturing setting, with exposure to machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. Physical activity is required, including walking throughout the facility, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks such as bending, reaching, or occasional lifting. Candidates should be comfortable navigating a fast-paced production floor and performing hands-on quality inspections.
