Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
The Assistant Director provides support management for the ReStore Director to oversee the daily operations of the Loveland Habitat for Humanity ReStore. This position serves as the designated Safety Officer for the ReStore and plays a key role in procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluating, and managing donated and purchased merchandise to support store revenue and mission impact.
Qualifications- High School diploma or related professional experience
- Ability to manage and direct staff and volunteers
- Experience in retail environment preferred
- Experience with inventory, procurement, or supply sourcing preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and lead through collaboration
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Following are the essential functions of the job.
Store Management –
- Open and close the ReStore as assigned
- Manages the receiving, furniture, patio departments and establishes the truck schedule
- Ensure that keys, security codes, confidential information, etc. is protected according to agency policies and procedures
- Answers phones promptly and professionally; directs call/takes messages as needed
- Assist with scheduling donation pick-ups
- Supports cashiers as needed
- Address and resolve customer service questions and/or complaints as needed
- Relay any concerns in regard to store business/facilities/staff/volunteers/customers to ReStore Director Operations Manager or Executive Director
- Complete injury report documentation communicates details to Executive Director and ReStore Director
Donations & Procurement Management –
- Follow HFHI guidelines for donated items to be accepted and rejected
- Identify, evaluate, and procure merchandise through donations, partnerships, and approved purchasing opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, vendors, contractors, and community partners to support consistent merchandise supply
- Process items in a timely manner, maximizing time and space
- Ensure merchandise pricing reflects accurate market value and items are cleaned prior to being placed on the floor
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement efforts to meet sales and seasonal demand
- Follow procedures to help increase flow of merchandise
- Provide back-up support for other departments as needed
- Provide donors and customers with appropriate receipt(s)
Community & Volunteer Engagement –
- Expand outreach efforts to attract a diverse base of volunteers and supporters
- Partner with relevant departments to coordinate events and awareness campaigns
- Develop outreach strategies to engage key community segments and demographics
Cash Management
- Receive and process cash, check and charge/credit payments
- Evaluate and sign off Daily Sales Reports to ensure accuracy
- Provide correct change and receipt(s)
- Follow pricing policies
- Performs refunds as needed
Customer Service
- Greet customers
- Assists customers in finding desired products in the store
- Answers customer’s questions regarding the store and merchandise
- Provides information about products as needed
- Recognize, monitor, and report security issues
Attend monthly staff meetings, organizational trainings, etc. Perform other related duties as assigned by ReStore Director.
