Position: Applications Engineer / Technical Sales

Role Overview

This is a full-time role for a Technical Sales / Applications Engineering function. The role would preferably be based at our Northern Colorado headquarters (Loveland/Fort Collins area), but could also be located remotely in the Upper Midwest or the West Coast. The function supports the customer experience & business growth in their region: earning business by conducting a customer-focused technical sales journey for warm leads, empowering customer success with technical support, and building long-term relationships with partners & customers.

The role is an individual contributor level reporting to a Regional Manager, but can grow into being the lead for customer accounts.

Qualifications
  • Interest in metal fabrication, robotics, and empowering fabricators with automation solutions
  • Strong ability to “put yourself in others shoes” to understand the customer experience and provide the best one possible.
  • Enjoys intersection of technical solutions (applications engineering), customer success, and commercial business development.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously. Strong "Say vs. Do" ratio.
  • Enjoys an agile small-business atmosphere, where autonomy is provided alongside accountability.
  • Experience in automation and/or welding industries is an advantage
  • Experience in a technical sales / account management role is an advantage
  • Degree in applied sciences (engineering, etc) is an advantage
