** A Day in the Life
** Our Staff Professional (Scientist/Geologist/Engineer) – Soil & Groundwater Sampling position is located in Colorado. This position will support our client, a very large oil/gas operator. This position will have a combination of field/office work. There is potential, initially, for the position to perform assessment remediation in the field 5 days/week. This work consists of supporting large portfolio projects, is fast-paced, can be technical in nature, and interaction with clients & regulators is required.
The annual salary range for this role is $60K to $75K, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
** Field Sampling & Investigation
*** Perform soil, groundwater, and environmental media sampling in accordance with project plans and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with development and execution of site sampling strategies.
* Conduct soil sampling using hand augers and other field equipment.
* Support installation and development of groundwater monitoring wells.
* Assist with oversight of impacted soil excavation and groundwater remediation activities.
* Collect accurate field measurements, observations, and documentation.
* Maintain field equipment and ensure proper calibration and operation.
** Project Support
*** Support multiple environmental remediation and compliance projects simultaneously.
* Assist with preparation of project deliverables, technical reports, permits, permit-related documentation, and proposals.
* Support data collection, management, and quality assurance efforts.
* Ensure environmental field and laboratory data comply with applicable permits and regulatory standards.
* Provide quality, accurate, and timely work products for both internal and external clients.
** Project Coordination
*** Under the direction of the Project Manager, assist with tracking project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and client deliverables.
* Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies as directed.
* Support the full lifecycle of environmental remediation projects from investigation through closure.
** Administrative Responsibilities
*** Complete daily field logs, chain-of-custody documentation, and project records.
* Enter timesheets daily and submit accurately and on time each Friday, the 15th, and the last day of each month.
* Maintain project documentation and electronic databases.
** Health, Safety & Compliance
*** Follow all company health and safety policies, client requirements, and OSHA regulations.
* Participate in all required safety meetings and training programs.
* Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives.
