Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: Northern Colorado
Pay: $30–$50 per hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team serving customers throughout Northern Colorado.

The ideal candidate is a skilled HVAC professional who can independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial heating and cooling systems. This position is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, customer service, and solving complex mechanical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
    .
  • Service rooftop units, package units, split systems, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, and other commercial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment failures.
  • Complete system start-ups, inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements.
  • Accurately document service calls, repairs, materials, and recommendations.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, building owners, facility managers, and contractors.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and additional repair work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Respond to service calls throughout Northern Colorado as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components.
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical plans.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls and building automation systems is a plus.
  • EPA 608 certification required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Preferred Experience

Experience with:

  • Commercial rooftop units
  • VRF/VRV systems
  • Chillers and boilers
  • Heat pumps
  • Refrigeration systems
  • VAV and air-handling systems
  • Building automation and HVAC controls
  • Preventative maintenance programs
  • Commercial electrical troubleshooting
Compensation

$30–$50 per hour
, depending on experience, technical ability, certifications, and qualifications.
