From your first walkthrough with a homeowner to the final commissioning, you take charge of every step that turns equipment into comfort. You’ll install and replace residential systems, fine‑tune performance to manufacturer specs, and leave every space safer, cleaner, and more efficient than you found it.
Your impact
Install and replace residential HVAC equipment, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, mini‑split systems, and package units.
Build, modify, and connect ductwork; run and braze refrigerant lines; set drain lines; install gas piping and venting; and make required electrical connections.
Properly charge refrigerant systems and verify performance against manufacturer specifications.
Start up and commission newly installed equipment, performing system testing, airflow balancing, and operational inspections.
Ensure every installation complies with local mechanical and building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
Document the job thoroughly: complete installation paperwork, capture required photographs, and close out records accurately.
Educate homeowners on system operation and basic maintenance so they get the most from their investment.
Maintain an orderly, safe job site and protect the customer’s home throughout the project.
Collaborate daily with installation helpers, service technicians, warehouse personnel, and management to keep schedules on track.
Support on‑call or overtime needs during peak seasons.
What you bringEPA Section 608 certification (required).3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Deep understanding of HVAC equipment, the refrigeration cycle, airflow principles, electrical components, and installation best practices.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
Familiarity with local mechanical and building codes.
Strong troubleshooting instincts and practical problem‑solving skills.
Clear communication and customer‑service focus.
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
Comfort using ladders, power tools, and testing instruments safely.
Tools and tech Proficiency with: EPA, HVAC installation practices, and Service Titan.
