Job Overview
As an experienced Technician at Penske, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the newest, best maintained fleet of vehicles. You will help customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
- Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
- Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

- 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor‑trailer maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Specialized training and experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
- Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred
- Ability to solve problems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Team‑oriented
- Willing to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Compliance with DOT, OSHA and Penske safety and maintenance policies
- Reliable attendance
- Current driver qualification file for those required to drive Penske and customer vehicles, including DOT Physical and safety performance records
- Willingness to travel as necessary within the district
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work in all weather conditions
- See and hear to navigate the work environment safely
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); lift or pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs
Monday‑Friday 11:30am‑8:00pm
Pay$33.75/hr
