Clients rely on Diversified Underground Inc. for accurate, safe, and efficient work that helps protect infrastructure and maintain project timelines.

The team is committed to responsive service, offering detailed free estimates and on-site project walk-throughs to understand client needs and site conditions.

Role Description The Utilities Locator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Loveland, CO. The Utilities Locator will be responsible for identifying and marking underground utilities using locating equipment, interpreting utility maps, and documenting findings to support safe excavation and construction activities. Daily tasks include performing field investigations, communicating with site supervisors and crews about utility locations, and adhering to safety protocols and local regulations.

The role also involves maintaining equipment, recording job details, and coordinating with office staff to ensure accurate reporting and scheduling. The Utilities Locator will work outdoors in varying weather conditions and may be required to travel to different job sites within the region.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Excavation practices and experience working around underground Utilities and the Utility Industry.
  • Basic Computer Literacy for reading digital maps, documenting field work, and using company software.
  • Strong Communication skills for coordinating with crews, supervisors, and clients on job site activities.
  • Understanding of safe work practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility plans, blueprints, and maps.
  • Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically active tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Prior experience in utility locating, construction, or related fields is preferred but not required.
