School Social Worker

K–12 caseload School Based Setting Starting ASAP for the  School Year 1.0 FTE, Monday–Friday  School Year

Hello, Social Workers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Social Worker for a K–12 school setting in Thornton, CO. In this role, you’ll support students’ social-emotional well-being, family engagement, and access to learning through counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with school teams. We welcome both new and experienced clinicians!

• Competitive pay up to $60/hour + steady school-year schedule

Benefits apply to 0.8 FTE and above after a short waiting period.

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development
• Support crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and safety planning as needed
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings
• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Connect families to community resources and supports

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
• Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement, or eligibility by start date
• Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills
• School–based experience preferred, but not required
• Passion for supporting students’ mental health and well‑being
