Peer Source is currently recruiting for a .NET Software Developer on a Contract-to-Hire basis. This role is based out of Loveland, CO. Full benefits are offered during the 2 year contract period prior to converting full-time. No third parties.
SummaryPeer Source is seeking a Software Developer to join an agile engineering team supporting a highly integrated software platform. This role will focus on designing and developing backend services, metadata-driven APIs, and event-based integrations that support complex system communication. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience and an interest in highly connected systems and distributed architectures.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend software applications and API-driven services using C# and .NET Core.
- Build and support metadata-driven integrations, published subscription models, and event-driven communication patterns.
- Develop scalable microservices that support system interoperability and complex data exchange workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize API functionality for internal and external system consumption.
- Support containerized deployments using Docker across Linux-based environments running on Windows embedded/IoT systems.
- Contribute to database-related development efforts involving Oracle and migration initiatives to SQL Server.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts within the software team.
- 5+ years of software development experience building backend applications and services.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, API development, and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with event-driven systems, messaging, integrations, or metadata-driven platforms.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking concepts, and distributed system communication patterns.
- Experience with Docker, Linux environments, Git/Git Hub, and Azure Dev Ops or similar tools.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
