Full-Time Service Writer / Service Advisor Transport Refrigeration of NW Arkansas, Inc. – Thermo King Dealer

Transport Refrigeration of NW Arkansas, Inc. (TRA), your local Thermo King dealer, is hiring a Service Administrator for our high-volume Lowell, AR service location.

Also known as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Service Coordinator, this role helps manage the entire service process - from welcoming customers and opening repair orders to coordinating with technicians, parts, scheduling, and final billing.

This is a great opportunity for someone with service writer, service advisor, dealership, truck service, diesel shop, automotive, or repair order experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of keeping jobs moving.

• $23-30.00/hour, based on experience

• 1+ year of experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Service Coordinator, or similar role preferred.
• Experience in a truck, trailer, diesel, automotive, equipment, dealership, or repair shop environment is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers, technicians, parts personnel, and management.
• Ability to learn service order and dealership management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic math and billing/invoicing skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training or cross-location support

• Greet customers and respond to scheduled, walk-in, and urgent service needs
• Open, manage, and close repair orders (ROs) in a high-volume service environment
• Gather customer concerns, repair needs, PO information, and payment requirements
• Coordinate and prioritize technician jobs and monitor repair progress
• Communicate job status and expectations with customers
• Partner with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability and accurate parts usage
• Collaborate with the Sales Team on customer communication and service needs
• Review technician labor, parts, and completed repair documentation
• Prepare accurate invoices and complete final billing
• Process COD payments and maintain the cash drawer
• Register serialized parts as required
• Answer inbound service calls and route calls appropriately
• Assist with weekly payroll support and other service department needs
• Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation
